Sleep Under Canopy
Without
Compromise
A quiet stretch of forest on Deer Lane, far from the crowded lots and noisy generators. Just you, the trees, and the kind of stillness you remember from childhood.
A Place That Doesn't Rush You
Raccoon Ridge Campground wasn't built to maximize capacity. It was shaped around the land that was already here — the old-growth oaks, the creek bed, the ridge that catches evening light.
Located along Deer Lane in Brown County, our campground sits at the edge of one of Indiana's most beloved natural areas. We're close enough to the park to walk to trailheads, but far enough away that the only sounds you hear are wind through the branches and the occasional call of a whippoorwill at dusk.
Every site is positioned to preserve privacy and shade. There are no generator hours because we believe the best camping doesn't need one.
Choose Your Setting

Brown County Is Your Backyard
Raccoon Ridge sits at the edge of Indiana's largest state forest. What that means in practice: morning hikes through sugar maple hollows, wildflower-lined trails in spring, and foliage that draws visitors from three states over.
You don't need to go far to feel like you've left the state behind. The county park is a short drive, and the trail network behind the campground connects directly to the larger forest system.
